China Town and Yokohama

We had a great day today! Yumiko, Ed and I went on an adventure. Greg had class and Grandma still needed to rest. So we headed to Yokohama. It was a great time. Ed commented that his first few meals in Japan have not been Japanese starting with McDonalds at the airport and then chinese food in China Town today but it was great food.

It was funny because when we got here I told Yumiko that I needed to go to the post office to exchange money and she said, oh we should go to the bank. We went to the bank and they said, you need to go to the post office. I do know Japan!

We headed to Yokohama and went to Yodobashi Camera- the multimedia mecca! It was the overwhelming. 7 floors of multimedia. We went to get a memory card and ended up staying for an hour and half. So much to see, so little money.

We then went to China Town and ate GOOD Chinese food for lunch. And then walked around. There was panda stuff all over the place! It was so cute! We took pictures at a temple and then walked to Yokohama Bay Park. It was beautiful. Then to Aka Renga Soko an old historical area that used to be the port customs area. After WWII, the US took over and used the facilities. It was turned back over to them at then remodeled into a shopping center for imports.

We then came home and I got to go to my favorite convenience store! LAWSON! And then to Yumi's parents for a feast! I am so full!! Tempura, sushi, somen, tsukemono.... It was so great! Yumi's dad showed us some of the most beautiful pictures that he has taken! It was a great time. Now we are headed to bed because we are going on a tour of Tokyo tomorrow. I get a break because it will be in english.
